Job Description: We are looking for a Resource Capability Assistant to work at AWE in Aldermaston.

Purpose:
To support AWE's Resource Capability and Continuity Manager in ensuring that the training, competency and capability requirements are well defined and understood in order for AWE to meet its current and future programmes.

Principal Accountabilities:

*To assist with ensuring appropriate and timely governance and headcount configuration management
*To assist with maintaining a culture of zero accidents and incidents relating to occupational and personal safety, security, quality, health and environmental issues
*To assist with the communication to staff and contractors the importance of meeting customer, statutory, regulatory and internal requirements
*To assist with ensuring that company strategies, policies and management system requirements are communicated and understood
*To assist with the development of curriculum's and associated training for engineering staff
*To assist with the improvement of company processes and associated documentation, including but not limited to, SQEP (Suitably qualified experienced person)
*To assist with the preparation of job descriptions for new and existing roles within engineering, and the production of EBM(s) and Resource Business Cases
*To liaise with HR and Assets in assisting with the development of future capability plans (one, three, five & ten year plans)
*To assist in the maintaining of Business Continuity Plan using Phoenix software
*To assist with the compilation of periodic reports
*To work with HR in the production of job descriptions for use in external recruitment drives

Qualifications and Experience:

*The candidate will be educated to Diploma level or A levels in (ideally English, Maths)
*The candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of general administration experience: record keeping, document production, configuration of document system
*The candidate should have a proven track record of establishing, implementing and maintaining processes, procedures and supporting documentation
*The candidate will preferably have a good understanding of AWE Management Systems and an understanding of the implementation and requirements of AWE Licence Conditions (LC12, LC 22, LC 28 and LC 36)
*The candidate will have a good knowledge of how a safety management system will effect day-to-day engineering operations; in order to develop curriculum's for assessing engineering capability.
*Usage of Phoenix software

*Capable of maintaining a high degree of effectiveness in a multi task role, managing priorities and delivering to challenging timescales
*Excellent communication, presentational and negotiation skills
*High degree of personal drive, good communication and interpersonal skills and a positive and co-operative attitude
*Possess strong motivational skills
*Clear and concise oral and written communications (including report writing)
*Demonstrate commercial awareness skills
*Working with others to achieve challenging goals
*Flexible and adaptable approach to work
*Respond positively to changing work demands and conditions
*Ability to contribute ideas in a dynamic team environment and to work towards agreed goals

*A full clean driving licence would be an advantage
