Job Description: My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Supervisor to support the organisation in controlling and monitoring our clients building's ventilation, lighting, fire and security systems. Based in Leeds, the role offers a competitive salary with an attractive benefits package.

The main purpose of the BEMS Supervisor is to develop a small team of technicians with the operation and maintenance of our clients systems in order to provide agreed comfort levels in their premises in the most energy efficient and cost effective way. The role offers excellent opportunities to assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of strategies for the effective delivery of maintenance and energy saving programmes.
Accountabilities:
*Provide management leadership and vision to develop a basic BEMs bureau service into a business offering that exceeds market standards and customer expectations
*Develop and provide training in the use of BEMs to team members and remote engineering colleagues.
*Manage access and passwords as required to maintain system security.
*Manage the operation of the BEMS team on a daily basis, liaising with in-house maintenance staff to respond to alarms, identify, diagnose and resolve faults and operating issues.
*Ensure that client temperature parameters, reporting requirements and service level agreements are met.
*Provide professional and technical advice on controls related matters, and understand the communication methods of both BT modems and IT systems.
*Manage and resolve unexpected technical problems that may arise in the running of the BEMs bureau.
*Investigate BEMs reports and information to improve energy efficiency, identify energy saving strategies and consult with our customers to make changes, monitor and report effectiveness of changes.
*Ensure that any new or modified building energy management systems for new buildings and/or refurbishments are designed and commissioned effectively to ensure contract compliance.
*To exploit the BES software to optimise building performance and reduce energy consumption through the application of modern building controls.
*Carry out a review of existing installations connected to the bureau, update site plans, schematic drawings and records, prepare reports for upgrading of systems or modification to plant.
*Keep up to date with the latest innovations in BEMs controls, software and solutions and make recommendations for improvement.
*Proactively identify opportunities for improving our BEMs provision, minimising energy consumption on client sites and increasing call avoidance for BEMs engineers.
*Ensure customer satisfaction through developing close working relationships with our clients.
*Manage the performance of other team members to set objectives and develop their technical skills.
*Develop written procedures and documentation
*Ensure BEMs database is kept up to date
Technical Competencies:
*Demonstratable experience of working within a Building Energy Management bureau environment.
*Extensive knowledge of SET and experience in IQ controllers.
*TREND 963 is essential
*System engineering and IQ engineering qualifications are advantageous
*Supervisory experience is not essential as full training will be given.
