Job Description: We are looking for two security cleared Asset & Building Condition Surveyor to work at the AWE site at Aldermaston, Reading. This is a fixed term contract role, for approx 8 months.


Job Purpose:


Completion of asset surveys and supporting documentation to assess plant condition, to understand what maintenance schedules should be in place and to assess the criticality of the plant, identifying any defects found. Ensure that new and innovative techniques are developed and implemented to the highest standards in order to ensure maximum operational efficiency according to the needs of the asset.



Principal Accountabilities:

*Responsible for asset/building condition surveys across the AWE estate
*Completion of portfolio of documentation detailing criticality of assets and suggested changes (if any) to existing maintenance schedules in line with EMCOR ARMS process
*Production of costed reports for surveys carried out on the AWE portfolio
*Provision of an improved, cost effective, efficient service to all customers, both internal and external, through the implementation and monitoring of procedures, and show continuous improvement
*Provision of support to operational site staff to ensure that their technical queries/objectives can be met and that cost effective solutions can be provided.


Qualifications and Experience:

*Have current, valid security clearance, ideally to DV level
*Industry recognised trade apprenticeship or relevant experience in a Building Services/Construction discipline
*NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
*Good all round knowledge of project management disciplines ie Electrical, Mechanical, Building and Civil Engineering
*Proven experience within a building service environment
*Must have background knowledge in the field of health and safety, quality assurance and environmental.
*The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance
*Must be self motivated, a team player and have an adaptable/flexible approach
*Articulate, numerate and IT literate
*Have good people management, leadership, decision making and communication skills. Must be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
*Must have a full driving licence
