Job Description: A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join our multi tenanted client site in Manchester.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for carrying out PPM's to HVAC equipment and Help desks requests of a Mechanical / Plumbing / Electrical and General Building Maintenance Nature. They are to ensure that they and their colleagues work in a Safe Working Environment. They will report to the Assistant Site Manager for the day to day running of the contract.
This will entail:
*Experience of HVAC Building Maintenance Activities.
*Will be required to work flexible shift system and carry out emergency call-out duties on a rota basis
*Experience of Plumbing /Electrical /Mechanical Tasks
*Requirement for Overtime working
*No objection to Dirty / Unsavoury tasks, ensuring the site is clean and tidy at all times
*Assisting other staff as instructed
*To carry out any reasonable request to perform duties which are normally custom and practice to Building Maintenance
*To perform Planned Preventative/ Reactive Maintenance tasks on all Building Services Equipment including relamping, water quality and filter changing etc.
*Good working knowledge of Electrical Heath and safety Regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
*Candidates should be time served within Building Maintenance, be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing and Electrical Systems and have been in a similar role ideally multi-faceted with good crossover skills.
*Trained to a minimum Technical grade in an HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing discipline, (Commercial Gas Safe registered, 17th edition IEE regulations desirable).
*You must be able to demonstrate good inter-personal and customer relationship skills with excellent written communications.
