Job Description: A Vacancy has risen for a HSEQ Associate to cover the UK.
Reports to: Divisional Director
Location: Based in Kew with travel throughout the UK
Dimensions: Accountable for the effective HSE&Q support of all projects, mobile operations & portfolio of sites / contract activities across the UK.
Purpose: To provide contractor approval assistance for new EFS contractors & suppliers.
Principal Accountabilities:
*Act as senior HSE&Q management representative to ensure that all operational elements of EFS SS business meet with high standards of HSE&Q at all times.
*Promote a culture of full compliance and continual improvement for all HSE&Q requirements, ensuring compliance with legislation and company HSE&Q policies is maintained and practised at all times.
*Develop and provide HS&E plans and associated documentation, including Inspection reports in line with the current CDM Regulations.
*Implement corporate HSE&Q requirements, initiatives & objectives to all associated BU operational activities.
*Assist with the development, maintenance & execution of compatible training programs in line with BU requirements.
*Assist with the provision and discharge of regular verification & Inspection activities for compliance with HSE&Q plans and programs.
*Develop regular initiatives to minimize all incidents and to promote continuous improvement and best practise.
*Provide appropriate status reports and associated documentation to BU management regarding HSE&Q performance and any out of line proceedings.
*Provide assistance to the Procurement Department with the H&S requirements of new contractors & suppliers.
*Ensuring all EFS contractors & suppliers meet the associated approval & documentation standards.
*Provide reports and associated documentation to the appropriate Management on HSE&Q profiles.
*Maintain a high profile at appropriate projects and contract site locations.
*An initial strategy of BU review, action and implementation.
*Annual programs to be submitted outlining scheduled training, reviews, audits & site / project visits.
*All fixed site and mobile engineer activities & tasks are risk assessed, distributed and maintained.
*A full review (% rating) of all activities to be collated maintained and managed.
*All project activities have full HS&E plans incorporating risk assessments & method statements.
*Implementation of a robust close out system.
*Procedures for project management and control to be developed, maintained and managed.
*All personnel complete statutory H&S training - Risk assessment, manual handling, working @ height, fire precautions, asbestos awareness, control of contractors, COSHH & CDM 07.
*Appropriate personnel to complete PASMA, MEWP, First aid, AP/CP training as appropriate.
*All site & project activities to have all contractor control systems in place.
*Equipment and systems checks to be set up, maintained and managed.
Qualifications and Experience:
*Diploma in H&S management.
*Professional Membership to IOSH.
*Working knowledge & experience of CDM.
*Working knowledge & experience of Contractor management.
*Knowledge of ISO systems and their implementation.
*Good IT skills.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills.
*Good presentation skills.
*Clean, full driving licence
*Requirement for UK wide travel
