Job Description: We are looking for two C & I Technicians to work at AWE in Aldermaston.
To perform craft C&I maintenance/servicing/repair tasks in accordance with job instructions or by applying craft skills. To ensure that objectives are achieved in an effective and safe manner.
Main Duties:
*To perform C&I maintenance tasks as detailed by AMS job dockets
*To complete task completion reports and associated documentation
*To ensure that task and documentation feedback is provided for update of AMS & SSoW packages
*To assist with the development and implementation of ESD policies and strategies
Safety Responsibilities:
*Nominated Person (Electrical) Specialised
*To follow both written and verbal task instructions explicitly to ensure the safe completion of allocated tasks
*To take an active role in the implementation of both company and local procedures, systems of work, work instructions and current legislation to safeguard people quality, security and the environment
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
*Preferably ONC in Electronics or Control & Instrumentation, or appropriate City & Guilds attainment/NVQ Level 3
*Appropriate Engineering Apprenticeship (with specific C&I training where required)
Skills:
*Verbal communication skills
*Fault finding skills
*Team working attributes
*PC abilities
*Proven ability to follow written and verbal instruction
Knowledge:
*C&I maintenance engineering of plans used in the processing of radioactive, explosive and toxic materials
*IEE regulations - an awareness of company and local safety procedures, instructions & documentation
*Technical knowledge of modern C&I techniques and applications
Special Requirements:
*Normal Colour Vision
*Ideally DV security clearance
*Medically fit for R/A & Toxic Working
