Job Description: A vacancy has arisen for a Building Services Technician, Electrical (Mobile) to cover a number of sites in the London area.
Responsible To: Contracts Managers
Location: Central London
Dimensions: To provide holiday and sickness cover as per requests of the Contracts Managers working under the Operations Manager.
Subordinates: N/A
Principle Accountabilities:
*To carry out reactive maintenance on all associated equipment
*Operate and monitor all plant and equipment safely
*Maintain up to date records of work carried out on the plant and equipment within the site manuals and complete site log books
*To carry out any reasonable reactive requests of the client including works to NICEIC regulations
*To comply with the client and safety rules and to maintain a high standard of discipline
*Join the on call roster as and when required. The frequency of this rota may change with reasonable notice being given to the employee
*To submit all relevant technical and paperwork as detailed in the Engineers policies and procedures pack or requested by Supervisor.
*To comply with 'permit to work' systems and risk assessments and undertake as required.
*All electrical installation work is verified using NICEIC Certification.
*To assist and supervise with any subcontractor works.
*To monitor the condition and calibration of test equipment and back up records.
Qualifications and Experience:
*C&G Electrical Installation 2360 Parts 1 & 2
*17th Edition 2380 wiring regulations
*C&G 2391 or 2400
*Experience of Building Services plant maintenance and repairs
*Working at Heights
*Safety trained and orientated, with practical knowledge
*Good diagnostic skills
*Knowledge and experience of 'Permit to Work' systems (desirable)
*First Aid trained (desirable)
*Smart, presentable appearance
*Proactive to all queries and faults
*Personable and approachable
*Good communication skills
*Literate and numerate
*Flexible and adaptable
*A team player with the ability to work from their own initiative
*Willingness to learn new skills and embrace procedures
*Flexible approach to working hours
*Administration skills (record keeping)
Benefits:
On call allowance - 25 days holiday + bank holidays - Zones 1 & 2 Travelcard - Stakeholder Pension - AXA PPP after 6 months
