Job Description: We are looking for a Refrigeration Technician to work on a busy site at London Heathrow.
The opportunity is for an experienced mobile engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance of Catering Equipment, Air Conditioning assets including Splits, VRV, VRF, FCU, AHU etc.
Principle Accountabilities:
*Work in partnership with all members of the team to ensure completion of all maintenance activities measured against the Service Level Agreement
*Provide technical service and support.
*Carry out repairs and routine maintenance to air conditioning assets within the agreed service levels.
*Able to prepare preliminary reports for any major repairs and breakdowns of AC Units
*Operate the BMS system including the following; system interrogation, alarm acknowledgment and support management in developing the BMS strategy
*Have an understanding of IMS and its role in service delivery operationally and corporately
*Participate in the continuing development of the customer service culture with British Airways by appropriate communication with the customer
*Promote the team culture by good teamwork with colleagues and subcontractors.
*Encourage best practice by identifying fault trends and causes using the continuous review process to implement change.
*Actively participate in EMCOR's asset management programme.
*Take responsibility for the Health & Safety compliance of the maintenance operation including the issue of permits, Authority and Permit to Work.
*Maintain CP status in relevant Mechanical and Electrical disciplines including the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
*Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
*Control of Sub Contractors as appropriate
*COSHH control.
*Ensure compliance with the Energy and Environmental policies and implement energy-efficient maintenance practices.
*Should have a sound knowledge of electrical and electronic fault diagnosis as applicable to the AC and refrigeration industry
*Maintain the site register for the usage of refrigerant gas
Qualifications and Experience:
*Complete a recognised Air Conditioning apprenticeship or hold equivalent qualifications (i.e. City & Guilds/NVQ
*Technical Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration / Air-Conditioning
*Demonstrate experience in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning industry as a service mechanic or technician
*Should have a sound knowledge of pipefitting and brazing techniques as applicable to the AC and refrigeration industry
*City & Guilds 6087 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 2 & 3
*City & Guilds 2078 & 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants
*Experience of maintaining commercial catering equipment
*Experience of Building Services plant maintenance
*Experience in maintaining HVAC equipment.
*An understanding of current Health and Safety regulations, and be able to work unsupervised or within a small team, with a 'can do' attitude.
*An effective communicator
*Computer literate in word, basic excel, BMS (Trend) & CMMS (MAXIMO) systems.
*A flexible work ethic is required, prepared to work at different locations across the contract.
*Successful completion of Criminal records check at basic disclosure level is mandatory for this position along with five years checkable work history with references.
*Maintain a smart appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
*The candidate should hold a valid current driving licence.
