Job Description: Relationships
Responsible for:
To oversee the running of all aspects of allocated Electrical and Mechanical Contracts on a daily basis and as such, be accountable to the Contracts Manager and Directors for its performance. To take responsibility for the establishment of targets and their achievement for all commercial and financial activities to ensure the Company and Client needs are met or exceeded at all times
Liaison with:
Department Managers, Surveying and Engineering Teams and all Employees to ensure that the Company and Client needs are achieved at all times
Main Duties
* To ensure that existing Customers and potential new Customers genuinely receive a quality, focussed service and product
* Provide Weekly report (Progress and Contract) to the Contracts Manager
* Support Site Manager
* To take full responsibility for all Staff in your Team and oversee career development, training and motivation
* Manage and pro-actively support all commercial activities to ensure they reflect the requirements of the Business and implement the agreed Business Plan to achieve current and future agreed performance targets
* Ensure that all activities are delivered to the agreed time/cost/service specification
* To continually identify quality and business improvements and ensure these are integrated into the future activities
* Keep and maintain full documentation to ensure that good business practice is achieved and that the Company's contractual and corporate responsibilities are discharged
Sub-Contractors
* Obtain competitive quotes and appoint major Sub-Contractors
* Sub Contract Payment Certificates to be completed Monthly for allocated Contracts
* Sub-Contractors account analysis to be kept updated at all times
* Sub-Contractor Control Meetings (to be held Weekly), chaired by the Site Manager/Contracts Engineer
* Monitor Sub-Contractor Valuations/Variations, in accordance with our Payment Timetable
* Ensure completion of Sub-Contract Certifications and Final Account Agreement with the Engineer's assistance
* Support Surveying and Engineering Teams with Sub-Contractor account discussions, difficulties and agreement
* Ensure all aspects of the Housing, Grants and Regeneration Act are adhered to with Sub-Contractors and/or Customers
