Job Description: Purpose:
To assist in the delivery of the effective provision of payroll and pay related functions for the company, and to assist with the efficient and effective control of relevant administrative procedures.
Principal Accountabilities:
1.Operate & maintain the Pay related processes in an efficient and effective manner ensuring that the weekly/monthly payrolls are accurate and relayed to the Payroll provider for employees to be paid on time. To administer changes for starters and leavers and changes including hours of work, additional payments.
2.Assist in the running of Working Rules Holiday pay credits and payments at designated times
3.Assist in accurate maintenance of data on structures reporting lines and locations.
4.To be responsible for answering pay related queries and relaying them to the Payroll provider as appropriate, for example, in relation to tax, national insurance
5.To keep up to date with the companies Pay/HR system changes and participate in user groups, as required.
6.To be responsible for the making absence pay adjustments e.g. sick leave and special leave.
7.Liaise with client departments and assist with the production of the pay reports as and when required.
8.To conduct ad hoc salary analysis and extract information from reports as required by the HRSSC or by client departments.
9.Any other projects, duties or activities that may reasonably be requested, as appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of this post
Qualifications and Experience
*Knowledge of Payroll procedures and relevant legislation
*Good numeracy skills and able to work accurately within a fast paced environment
*Excellent organisation skills
*Attention to detail is critical
