Job Description: To be responsible to the sales consultants / branch managers for generating Gross Profit from existing accounts and ensure that these accounts are serviced to the highest standard


Main Duties: The Service Consultants main areas of responsibility are up-selling, account development, resourcing and various administrative duties. Product knowledge, client and market knowledge must be sufficient to give the client and candidate confidence. The duties and required attributes are laid out in full below: -



1.Client Service, Account Development and Up-selling

*Fact and records are held for each major account which shows:

-Margins
-Competitor activity
-Names of all decision makers

*Temporary worker supply is checked to ensure attendance
*Questions regarding extra business possibilities at every visit and call
*Known to all clients by first name
*All decision makers and influence's are known by name
*Accurate job profiles are gained for every booking and matched with an operative to clients satisfaction
*Standby's are planned for appropriate clients
*Honesty is demonstrated by being prepared to say "we can't'' and the door is open for future business
*Lead generation

2.Planning

*Shows an awareness of the market at all times
*Identifies opportunities
*Competitor activity
*Knows the temporary worker bank availability
*Creates a weekly TIME PLAN and STICKS TO IT!
*Creates an area /journey plan for service visits
*Aware of signs /opportunities available on clients site, through being inquisitive e.g. lead generation

3.Resourcing

*Locate and secure candidates for positions
*Carry out required reference checking
*Build and maintain a database of available candidates
*Generate and complete all necessary paperwork for transmission to accounts and payroll for all starts and terminations.
*Maximise % margin when filling vacancies
*Ensure company recruitment procedures are followed at all times
*Obtain candidate appraisals when finishing a contract
*Ensure non conformance reports are completed when appropriate
*Management of candidate database i.e. duplications
*Advert response sheets are collated and filled out correctly at all time
*Ensure sales consultants are given sales leads from referencing / advert response
*Work records are kept up to date on all operatives

4.Administration

*Booking Browser sheets are accurate and updated every day
*Confirmation of Booking forms are filled in accurately, as the booking is received
*Client/New Starter form is always filled in clearly, with all the information required to ensure payroll runs smoothly
*Call backs are always put in the diary
*Observes credit control procedures such that no bad business or unauthorised accounts are supplied
*Call and visit records are held for every contact, always up to date with every call logged
*Desk is kept tidy with the appropriate stationary and equipment available
*Ensures time sheets are processed smoothly and on time
*Ensures that On-Site procedures are adhered to, and all documentation is completed without error

5.Self Development

*Constantly demonstrates a desire to learn, and improve
*Able to take learning from set backs, disappointments and feedback, always using it constructively
*Attitude is always seen to be positive
*Appearance is always judged to be business like and appropriate.
*Reviews training needs in accordance with company objectives

6.Team Role

*Volunteers to share workload, when overload, holidays and / or illness means that business would suffer
*Generates ideas which solve problems
*Seen to contribute ideas to meetings and training sessions in a helpful positive manner, making sure that Admin / payroll personnel are always appropriately briefed.
